The first 2 digits are the die number, 12 in this example – if you only see a 7 digit code before the dash, then its a single digit die number, like ‘7’
Mach* is the employee code for operating the machine
Pack* is the employee code for whoever packed the pellets
Year is the year of manufacture
Run is the run number through the machine, the machine is reset after a certain quantity of pellets and this number is progressed by 1 digit each time – starts at 0 ands at 9
